Sri Bhoo Varaha Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple located here at Halashi, Karnataka and was built by King Vijayaditya III in 1186-87 in the Kadamba style of architecture.

The temple has two Garbhagrahas.

The main shrine has an idol of Sri Maha Vishnu in a sitting posture. Behind this deity are idols of Lord Surya, Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and Lord Sri Narasimha. According to legend, the idol of Lord Narasimha was a swayambhu, that is, it was not made by human hands and it just appeared on its own.

The characteristic of Lord here is His standing posture with right leg on a Koorma (Tortoise), left leg on Aadishesha, the King of serpents, Goddess Sri Bhoodevi – Sri Maha Lakshmi on one shoulder, Gadha & Shankha in the hands and beautiful ear rings.The deity is around 7 ft. tall.

This temple is situated at Halasi, a small town in Belagavi Dist, about 24 kms from Kitturu. It was a minor capital of Kadambas during 980 – 1250 AD.
